Case for Mezuzah “Jerusalem” Fire Art Collection
The Mezuzah is a sacred scroll of parchment with a prayer, “Shema Yisrael.” It is God's address to the people of Israel, calling them to remember Him and promising His blessing in return. According to tradition, the mezuzah scroll is attached to the doorjamb in every Jewish home.
The collection of exclusive mezuzah cases “Safed” is dedicated to one of the main spiritual centers of Israel, along with Jerusalem. According to legends, Safed was founded by Noah's son after the Flood. It is now one of the four holy cities for Jews.
The case is made of amber.
In the center is a miniature bas-relief — the traditional letter “Shin,” the first letter of one of the names of the Lord — Shadai. It means “the fire of God that devours all His enemies” and is a protective symbol.
